ARTI E MESTIERI - ESTRAZIONI

Basically, with Estrazioni (extractions), Beppe's intention, in producing this album was to extract, to pick up some interesting and sometimes unexplored moments along the first thirty years of the story of the band, including 'now!".
The start is a reprise of the original 'famous' cover of Tilt, arti & mestieri's most classical album.
In the record we find an heartful dedication to Gianfranco Gaza, written by Beppe and a tribute to the 'unique genius' of Demetrio Stratos, a great friend of the band, with Beppe and Furio givin' their own rendition of Demetrio's "Flautofonie".
"Alba Mediterranea", a new 'classic' by the band, opens the album, in a new exciting version, with lyrics (sang by Beppe himself).
On the CD we find 2 tunes that had to appear on the 3rd album of the original line-up of the band, in the 70's that never saw the light: "Ode" and "Aura" (both are Beppe's tunes).
We find also 2 distinguished tunes by Gigi Venegoni,"Danza di Luna" that he composed in late 70's for Venegoni & co, and Beppe and arti re-arranged it in 'pure' arti & mestieri's style, and a new tune, 'Petra'.
A chance to contibute with their music to the repertoire has been given to 2 new members of the band, Alfredo Ponissi (with "Prometeo" and "Cinderella") and Marco Roagna ("Il Canto del Mattino"), and these tunes have been arranged by Beppe to follow the original sound of the band.
At the end we have another version of arti & mestieri's hymn, "Gravita' 9,81" in a version that appeared on Furio's video, "Singin' Drums", and Incidentally,with Furio, Gigi and beppe we find Alfredo, new sax player in
the band.
At the end, Estrazioni is 'extracting' deep emotional pictures, never seen before, of big first volume of the story of the band.
